Biography

Marianna Lead, PCC, Ph. D. is a past president of the International Coach Federation’s award-winning New York City chapter. A Transformational Coach and Clinical Hypnotherapist, she is the founder of Goal Imagery® training and coaching programs and a pioneer in tapping the subconscious power of emotions and imagination for achieving individual and organizational goals.

Marianna Lead is the creator/host of Life Coach TV - a prime-time cable talk show in Manhattan, and has frequently been featured on national TV (including NBC morning news) & radio, in magazines such as Fitness, Natural Health, Time Out and documentaries - both as a coach and mind/body wellness expert.

In 2006, Dr. Lead became the first hypnotist to lecture at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. After the overwhelming response to her Introduction to Hypnosis, she was asked to return to present Introduction to Life Coaching, and became the first coach invited to lecture at the Smithsonian Institution as well.

Currently, she is on the faculty of New York University, teaching Coaching Skills courses at NYU's Master's Degree Program in Department of Leadership and Human Capital Management as well as at the NYU's Coaching Certificate Program. She is also a co-designer of Competitive Advantages of Women in Leadership program at Columbia University.

Dr. Lead has designed and taught numerous courses for NYU's School of Continued & Professional Studies, including Finding Your Inner Life Coach, Finding Your Inner Career Coach, Introduction to Hypnosis, and Goal Imagery® – the Shortest Distance between You and Your Goals.  She also taught numerous courses on Interpersonal Communication Skills.

Marianna is also a certified mentor with EQMentor, a company that provides anonymous mentoring/coaching for executives via Internet with focus on emotional intelligence concepts. Dr. Lead is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with Int'l Coach Federation (ICF). Since 1996, she is also a certified stress management consultant with Int'l Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT), as well as IACT's approved provider of hypnotherapy certification courses.

She has also lectured at the  92nd Street Y and co-hosted/produced Laughter as a Life Skill with comic Yakov Smirnoff at the American Airlines Theater on Broadway.

Dr. Lead's background in the performing arts enhances her skills as a coach, therapist and teacher – and makes her an engaging host, presenter, and on-camera guest.  A classically-trained pianist, member of the Screen Actors Guild, and former stand-up comic, she has been an Expert Life Coach for Fitness Magazine, collaborated with Dr. Candace Pert, best-selling author of Molecules of Emotion, on her Psychosomatic Wellness CD and hosted Life Coach Radio with Progressive Radio Network.  For many years, she served as the Acting Instructor and Theater Director at Shorefront YMHA in Brooklyn, NY, coaching teens and young adults on acting and presentation skills.

Dr. Lead is the author of ten audio programs, including: Letting Go of Your Weight, Becoming a Non-Smoker, Stress Release, Improving Your Memory, Discovering Your Yoga Master Within, Freeing Your Creativity, Conquering Stage Fright, and Creating Happiness. Dr.Lead is currently writing a book entitled Goal Imagery®  - The Shortest Distance to Health, Wealth & Happiness.

Dr. Lead maintains an active coaching tele-practice with clients across the U.S. as well as a New York City based hypnotherapy practice.
